BOB Desktop And Device Tidy And Device Stand (video)

BOB Desktop And Device Tidy And Dock Charger

Anyone looking for a way to keep their desk tidy and also view their mobile devices may be interested in a new desktop organiser and device stand called BOB, which has been created by Bang Creations located in London.

BOB has launched via Kickstarter this month and has already raised the required funds it needs to go to the next stage of development and into production. Check out the video below to learn more about the inspiration, design and functionality of BOB.

BOB Dock ChargerThe humble glasses case has just been re-invented. When we purchase our beloved specs or shades we are normally given the case as a freebee. It has one function- it protects our glasses. BOB is a glasses case that delivers more, it is a case for your glasses, a place for your devices, and a catch all for your bits and bobs. BOB opens up to allow you to display your tablet and phone while also storing and hiding all the pocket shrapnel you dump on your desk before you start work. BOB will protect your glasses, display your tech, and house your bits and bobs.

BOB is moulded for strength and protection, designed to be both comfortable and stylish. It will fit the largest of wayfarer glasses, and will stand tablets in portrait or landscape in two viewing angles. BOB is no larger than a normal glasses case. The case is moulded in ABS, then inlaid with fabric to protect the glasses. Two wings wrap around the case and are held together magnetically. These wings fold down, and support the base of your phone or tablet, while the back of the phone or tablet rests against the case. The styling and function is deliberately simplistic. Subtle hinges turn the folding walls into storage section wings and they open/close with an addictive magnetic closure.

Emily Wants to Play Launches On PlayStation 4 August 9th 2016 (video)

Emily Wants to Play

If you like a scare and survival horror games you will be pleased to know that Shawn Hitchcock Founder and Developer at SKH Apps as announced their horror game, Emily Wants to Play, will be launching for the PlayStation 4 early next month on August 9th, 2016.

The Emily Wants to Play survival horror contains no blood or gore but you can expect it to give you a real fright. Check out the announcement trailer for the PS4 version below to see what you can expect from the storyline and gameplay.

During the game you play as a pizza delivery person who has been trapped by Emily and her dolls, after the last delivery of the night. Hitchcock explains more about the games development and what you can expect.

Working on the game itself was a frightening endeavor. Sometimes I would be all alone, working on it at night. I could imagine the characters coming to life on their own, tilting their head sideways and staring back at me through the monitor. It’s a scary thought, and it shouldn’t be able to happen. But, if I make a mistake in the programming, it actually can happen!
A few times during testing, a doll was supposed to move away from me, but instead, very unexpectedly, it would run straight at me. It was alarming, to say the least.

The environment in the game, the house, is actually my childhood home in New Orleans. It was a very old house where several bizarre and traumatic occurrences took place. I wasn’t going to use it at first, but as I drew it out on paper, I realized the layout was perfect. The layout of the house really worked great in combination with the strategic elements that occur later on in the game.

Necksound Wireless Wearable Speaker Offers Headphone Free Audio (video)

Necksound Wireless Wearable Speaker Offers Headphone Free Audio

Anyone who enjoys listening to music or audio but would prefer to lose the need to wear headphones in certain situations, may be interested in this very unique wireless wearable speaker called Necksound.

The smart speaker has been created by Necksound Solutions based in Valencia Spain and has been designed to provide high-quality audio without the need to wear any headphones. Allowing you to easily hear everything that’s going on around you.

The unique design of the Necksound removes the need to worry about your headphones being dislodged while moving and provides a much more comfortable way to listen to audio while engaged in sports such as cycling, running or walking. Watch the video below to learn more about its inspiration, design and functionality.

A couple of years ago, Alvaro, current CEO of Necksound, went out for a run as part of his daily routine. As always he was listening to music through his headphones, so focused that he didn’t hear a car approaching. Fortunately the driver of the car was able to stop quickly and avoided a potentially tragic situation. After taking stock, Alvaro kept on running, but he decided to remove his headphones and place them around his neck. At that moment he realized that he could listen to music without being isolated from the world around him.

That sense of security, combined with the convenience of not having anything pressing against his ears led him to rethink how people listen to music while participating in any type of physical activity. Thus, Necksound was born. After two long years of perseverance, hard work and great enthusiasm, we have created this wearable necklace-shaped audio device: wireless, lightweight, comfortable and beautifully designed.

Necksound is a smart wireless wearable that revolutionizes the experience of listening to music and doing sport. It is a necklace-shaped audio device made with hypoallergenic silicone, with a modern and sporty design that provides top quality sound. Listen to music or talk on the phone while doing any type of physical activity without the need for headphones. Necksound is the perfect wearable to enjoy your private soundscape without being isolated from the world that surrounds you. Unlike other conventional headphones and hands-free devices, Necksound offers a different, safer and functional alternative. It’s the only device of its kind that combines all essential features.

PrintTable Large Format 3D Printer Created Using IKEA Tables For Just $395

PrintTable

Anyone who has considered purchasing a 3D printer has been restricted by budget for the larger format machines currently available, may be interested in a new large format 3D printer that has been built using two IKEA tables costing $8 each.

The PrintTable has been created by Wayne Mason-Drust check out the videos below to learn more about its construction and unique design which brings the price of owning a large format 3D printer down to just $395.

All parts required to build your very own 3D printer apart from the IKEA tables are all available to purchase directly from the official PrintTable website. With 3D printing files available to download for free if you have access to a 3D printer.

Wayne purchased his first 3D- Printer a BitsFromBite’s (BFB) 3D Touch in 2011. This model is a predecessor of the Cube Pro from 3D systems who acquired BFB the year before. With a price tag of £2,000, it was a sizable investment but he could see the immediate applications within his own business; it was an easy decision. Wayne set up the printer atop of an IKEA lack table and continued to immerse himself within the community.

Wayne’s printing set-up progressed with time and evolved to suit the various projects he was working on. Through all this change, something remained apparently constant; the IKEA Lack table which supported the printers. It had absorbed 5 years of vibrations & applied forces yet the table showed no obvious signs of wear or distortion. Through further investigation, an idea emerged. He wanted to utilise IKEA’s existing Lack table range to create a common framework where anyone could build a cheap large format printer. A framework whose core is readily accessible worldwide.

Visit the PrintTable website for full details and components.
